DELIVERY TIME

We suggest having your measurements taken by a seamstress or someone else, as it is difficult to measure yourself and get accurate measurements. Measurements should be taken in the undergarments you plan to wear with your wedding dress, bridesmaid dress or prom dress. Please remember that A Dressy Occasion is not responsible for measurements taken outside of our stores. Please contact us if you have any questions.

BUST - Measure around the fullest part of your bust wearing the bra that you will be wearing with the dress and keeping the measuring tape level. Do not measure under your bust. The tape measure should be held snug, but not tight. Remember that this measurement is not your bra size.

WAIST - It is very important to measure the smallest part of your waist, this is normally about 2 inches above your bellybutton. Stand with your stomach at its natural position. Again, the tape measure should be held snug, but not tight.

HIPS - Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of the hips. Make sure the tape measure stays parallel to the floor.

Hollow to Hem - Not required for Prom or Bridesmaid dresses The hollow to hem measurement is taken from the hollow at the base of your neck just above your collarbone to the hem of the skirt. This measurement needs to be taken wearing the exact heel height you will be wearing with your dress. It is very important that you look straight ahead when taking this measurement, looking down will give an inaccurate measurement.
